BigChief :
Hey guys.
I'm looking to buy an acoustic guitar, but I have no idea exactly what I should buy. Beginner guitars range from fairly cheap to pretty expensive, which is why I'd like someone with personal experience to give me a bit of guidance.
Is there anyone here who can help me?
How did you choose your first guitar?
Why did you choose this particular instrument?
Any help would be appreciated,
BigChief
Well, I play guitar for some 3 years... and when I got my first one, the acoustic guitar, I bought the cheapest one, because I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. It paid off - I became obsessed with it, and I still play it. My option is - go with an average first guitar - no need for something expensive, you'll have time for that, believe me.
Why I chose it? Hehehe... well, I'm into rock, metal, those sorts of things... so I always wanted to try myself at playing. After a year of playin' acoustic, I got an electric guitar, and now I mostly play Iron Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, Purple, Zeppelin, Floyd... But I also play acoustic, it helps in relaxation and lets me be creative and compose things on my own
If you get obsessed with playing on guitar, believe me... it's going to be very easy to learn, to get skills, technique and learn the theory. I'm in a band, it's nothing too special, but we're trying hard and it's in progress

Good will power and patience is all needed for guitar playing
Of course I heard of Steve Vai...

What he does with the guitar should be illegal- really

For The Love of God... just amazing, one of the best instrumentals I ever heard. Bad Horsie, Tender Surrender... amazing. However, I still prefer the teacher, Satriani
