Financed and sponsored by the giant financial groups, the Mishima Zaibatsu, the first Tekken tournament began with eight fighters, all of whom had emerged victorious in death matches held all over the world, all motivated by different motives, all possessing the skill and power to crumble mountains.
One year has passed. The Mishima Zaibatsu under Kazuya's leadership has become even more powerful with its tendrils reaching to all corners of the world. Soon after his father's apparent death, Kazuya disappears into the shadows. However, rumors of his immense power, and a dark side, slowly begin to spread throughout the world. Exactly one year after the end of the first Tekken, a message is relayed from the Mishima Zaibatsu fortress to news agencies all over the world announcing a second tournament with a prize a thousand times that of the first. So begins the tournament...
![]() Several days later, the final challenger arrives to face Kazuya, the organizer of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2. In a reprise of the first Tekken Tournament, the father and son clash in a cursed blood battle. Eventually, Heihachi emerges scarred but victorious to regain control of the immense Mishima Conglomerate. Unaware of Devil's presence, Heihachi casts the lifeless Kazuya into a fiery volcano. As Kazuya's body burns, the Devil appears before the pregnant Jun Kazama in a bid to enter the soul of the new life beating within her. But in a desperate struggle for the future of her child, Jun defeats Devil and retires to desolate Yakushima so as to raise Kazuya's son, Jin, alone. Having regained control of the Mishima Conglomerate, Heihachi sets about to further increase his powers. He embarks on a crusade to win the trust of world leaders by putting wars and conflicts to rest. Using his immeasurable wealth, he forms Tekkenshu, a mercenary group employed to quell conflicts efficiently. He also takes a strong interest in the well being of developing nations by helping them build agricultural systems that will sustain them. Through Heihachi's efforts, the world appears to be regaining peace. Around fifteen years have passed and Jin Kazama is now 15 years old.
Under Heihachi's orders, the Tekkenshu are excavating a Central American archeological site when they discover a mysterious life form. Heihachi orders the creature's capture, but loses contact with the Tekkenshu after a garbled radio message, "... they are all dead... Toshin (Fighting God)?!..." Upon arriving at the dig, Heihachi finds a field of corpses. Heihachi is wracked by sorrow, but also realizes that the power of the mysterious life form could be the key to his long dormant dream of world domination. To obtain this mysterious power of Toshin, and the world, Heihachi tempts the fates once again... Within weeks, strange disappearances occur throughout the world. Persons of strong soul, masters of martial arts and other derivative fighting disciplines are reported missing... with no knowledge of their whereabouts. Jun Kazama instinctively picks up on the dark power encroaching on her life. She has no understanding of what it is, but senses that she has become a target. Accepting her destiny, she tells Jin everything she knows of their haunted past to prepare him for the fateful day she now feels is imminent. She tells Jin to go to his grandfather Heihachi if anything befall her.
Four years later, on Jin Kazama's 19th birthday, the curtains rise for the King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. ...But Heihachi failed to capture Ogre. Not willing to give up, Heihachi ordered his researchers to collect blood samples, skin tissue, and hoof fragments left behind by Ogre (or known as True Ogre in its true manifestation) in order to conduct genetic experiments. Heihachis goal was to create a new life form by splicing Ogres genome with his own. However, the research was unsuccessful. After extensive experimentation, Heihachis bioengineers came to the conclusion that an additional gene - the Devil Gene - was necessary in order to successfully splice Ogres genetic code into another living organism. Heihachi learned that his own genome lacked the Devil Gene, but he knew someone who did... Jin Kazama.
Convinced that the picture was of Kazuya, his own son whom he threw into a volcano 20 years ago, Heihachi diverted all his resources into a search for the body. This search eventually led Heihachi to G Corporation, a leading-edge biotech firm making unprecedented advances in the field of biogenetics research.
At the same time, a separate unit led by Heihachi infiltrated the underground research facility in Nebraska, where Kazuyas remains were preserved. As Heihachi observed from his helicopter, he soon realized that unlike the Nepal facility, the operations in Nebraska were not going according to plan. The tactical status monitor screens showed the first wave of the Tekken Force troops being blown out from the storage room where Kazuyas remains were supposedly kept. A silhouette of a large figure slowly emerged from the room... When Heihachi could see clearly enough, he instantly recognized the large figure as Kazuya.
Enraged that Heihachi thwarted his plans, Kazuya obliterated the heavily armed Tekken Force and vanished into the flames of the labs wreckage. Heihachi was infuriated by Kazuyas escape and took out his anger on his hapless subordinates who reported the escape. Abel, Heihachis lead scientific advisor, urged the enraged Heihachi to quickly find a way to capture Kazuya. Once his anger subsided, Heihachi focused his mind and decided on a plan. An evil smile crept upon his lips. Two years had passed since The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3. The Mishima Zaibatsu announced The King of Iron Fist Tournament 4 and placed the massive financial empire as the top prize. The champion who manages to defeat Heihachi at the end of the Tournament would inherit the Mishima Zaibatsu. Well aware that the tournament is just a trap designed
to lure him out, Kazuya nevertheless enters - it is his chance to defeat
Heihachi.
TEKKEN 3 Dr. B has a crippling disease that has almost totally taken away the use of his legs. Despite this, he still soldiers on in the scientific circle and has many revolutionary works under his belt icluding the Jack robots. In the second tournament, dr. B was kidnapped by Kazuya's men and made to work for them. One of the many tasks meant re-desiging / building the prototype Jack unit. He was later rescued by Yoshimitsu. The pair have a unique bond due to the fact that dr. B fitted a cybernetic arm to Yoshimitsu when he lost his sword carrying arm to a lazer trap device. In the 3rd tournament, dr. B desperately wants Ogre's blood as this is the only way he will be able to save his daughter's life. She has a fatal condition and Ogre's blood and it's power is the only way to save her. He currently has her preserved awaiting the operation in one of his freezing chambers called "Cold-sleep Machine", that housed Nina and Anna for 15 years! His daughter's life is in his hands, he must act quickly or face losing his daughter forever.
TEKKEN 3 Bryan Fury,
an officer in the international police organization was killed
in a shoot-out in Hong Kong. Bryan's corpse was transported to
the laboratory of a man named dr. Abel. This 88-year-old scientist
was fairly famous in the underground society, but his findings
were often preceded by dr. Boskonovitch's. However, at last, he
came to the last step of completing his master project... the
cyborg army. Dr Abel thought that a perfect cyborg must have the
mechanics built by his rival, dr. Boskonovitch and reanimated
Fury's body and sent him off to collect this data. In his former
life Bryan was known as a skillful detective, but on the other
side, he was always followed by dark rumors. Investigating the
Hong Kong drug trade, Lei Wulong discovered that Fury had connections
with drug dealers. Bryan sneaks into the King of Iron Fist Tournament,
targeting Yoshimitsu who has strong ties with Boskonovitch... TEKKEN 4 Bryan came to the realization that his life was quickly coming to an end. Two years ago, the Mishima Zaibatsu recruited Doctor Abel as its top scientific advisor. When this happened, Abel abandoned Bryan without giving a second thought to the now-obsolete cyborg's well being.
TEKKEN 2 Yoshi's
best known enemy is Kunimitsu, red-haired and always masked kunoichi,
who is also known as "The Cat Devil". She was a former member of the Swastika clan of ninja bandits lead by Yoshimitsu. She lost her Japanese identity when she joined the group to maintain her annonimity. Upon joining, she was taught the skills of the stealth knife at the Swastika ninja schools of "Jujutau". She stayed with the group for a few months, until a series of petty thefts from the bands funds led to her dismissal. At a loose end, she decided to train as a mechanic mending air conditioners.
TEKKEN 2 Alex:
TEKKEN 1, 2 Ganryu is a sumo wrestler of great merit. He is also the youngest fighter ever to gain the "Ozeki". Once this title was gained, many who watched the sport (including a certain bandit leader, Yoshimitsu ^_^) thought Ganryu would reap the rewards and challenge fot the title of "Yokozuna"; a title he was more than capable of winning, but his immoral style (such as starting bouts with fire breathing and a fanfare whilst taunting his opponents, and also a bad gambling habit) lead to a dishonourable discharge and gave Ganryu the chance to join the crime world.
TEKKEN 3 The God of Fighting... [ also known as To-shin ] The legend of Native Americans says the Ogre is the war weapon which creatures from outer space left on earth in ancient time. It understands entire structures of all living and artificial beings, and absorbs them. It wanders the earth in search of strong souls.
TEKKEN 1, 2 During the first Tekken tournament, Heihachi was defeated by his son Kazuya. Kazuya then took over the Mishima Financial Empire and ruled it to his heart's content. Beaten by Kazuya, in an instant he lost both his fame and family. Having spent his previous time indulging in deviant acts instead of training, he vows to regain what he has lost. TEKKEN 3
Family matters... Heihachi retrieved the Mishima Financial Empire by defeating his son.
Scheming to further develop the MFE, Heihachi organized "Tekken Force", the MFE's private corps, and dispatched them to settle disputes and bring wasteland under cultivation to feed the poor countries of the world, in order to gain the support of leaders worldwide.
TEKKEN 4
Two years ago, Heihachi failed to capture Ogre. He made his researchers collect blood and tissue left behind by Ogre and attempted to create a new life form by combining its genetic material with his own. The experiment failed, however, and Heihachi learned that he lacked the Devil Gene necessary to integrate Ogre’s genome into his.
In Tekken 4 Tournament, Heihachi became Yoshimitsu's target. Yoshi must defeat Heihachi at any cost to take over Mishima Zaibatsu and unite it with Manjitou. It would be a fulfilment of his greatest dreams. Anyway, as Yoshi's ending shows, Heihachi don't even think of giving the Zaibatsu to anyone. But Yoshimitsu is not gullible: knowing what kind of a man Heihachi is, he devised a plan of stealing the Mishima Zaibatsu safe once again. Yeah, Mishima Zaibatsu was once plundered during Tekken 1 Tournament by no one else than Yoshi and his fellow Manji Ninjas!
