Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter

I'm thrilled and blown out of my mind to see this announcement

anyways it's officially announced that these games r being developed and that the tekken cast will fight the street fighter cast in street fighter 4 mechanics and in tekken mechanics.

Street fighter X tekken will be in the SF4 mechanics ( quarter circle, shoryukens, hadoukens, supers )and Tekken X Street fighter will be in tekken mechanics (combo's, 10 hit-combo's , juggle, (bound?) )

anyways there's already a trailer for SF X tekken and a gameplay.

trailer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm5-fj2caTw&feature=related

gameplay Ryu and Chun li vs Kazuya and Ninja in a tag battle I believe : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6U7jZ-qMfI&feature=related

I personally think it's easier to adapt tekken characters and their move set into the street fighter world but not vice versa...

so what do you guys think?

Will our great beloved Yoshimitsu even be in this game ? ( he probably will since he's the most awesome character in tekken)

and if he's really in the game, what kind of moves will he have in street fighter? ( supers, stances, specials, throws, ... )

what kind of new clothes will he have this time?!

let's make this thread interesting B)

I´m very sceptical about the street fighter charactors with tekken game play... I mean think about all those weird dragonball attacks and some people complaned about Devil Jins and his laser beams, but I think the other game would be wroth a try for sure just look at the intro No Jin take that you stupid kazuya clone :)).

Yoshi sure why not he so freaking nuts its hard to believe he´s from tekken at times.

In my Oppion they should proplerly take the classic tekken T3 even though I like T2 yoshi more but the other is by many the one but either way it would be cool to see in the game.

Supers
his back throw, Clonimtsu Can´t remember the name but TZ call it that

Long range attacks
Solar Shark Attack, Moonsault slayer

Stance
his old basic one

# A.K Fan1234 :
Supers

how can't you know the IZUNA DROOOOP!!
the epic grab attack used by many ninja's

besides I don't think it will work as a super or ultra since Guy from street fighter already has it and it looks very deadly

I did knew that but mean this cloning throw but do you think about the move with grab animation from flea walk the flashy but totally useless one as super

oh yea, I guess so

oh I know a good one as ultra.

Yoshimitsu does some bad ass ninjutsu moves and eventually he saps the life out of the opponent (soul syphon)=D

Well, sorry I am late. Basically, when I first heard this news I was like 'Noooo... this is a terrible idea, it will never work.' I mean, imagine controlling Yoshi on the Street Fighter style game. It's hard enough for me to change between Tekken and Soul Caliber Yoshi's.

Then I have thought about it a little more and I guess it's not a bad idea as a bit of fun. I doubt it will be a hugely popular game though, I see it more as a gimmick.

Well, we had Alien vs Predator and Freddy vs Jason (they rejected my idea for The Hulk vs King Kong for some reason, never mind...:D) you can even find sonic and mario in games together these days. So yeah, it's an interesting idea and something to look forward to.

I'm kinda unsure if Namco/Bandai will really pursue the production of their version of the "X" games. I mean, it's kinda odd thinking about selling numbers...Also there haven't been any news except two pictures of which one was merely a marketing/introduction pic. Or they're just taking their time...who knows. Anyone knows any sources for official infos?

Anyways, Namco giving the dusty move roster of the SF charas an upgrade sounds like a better deal to me, if they'd actually do that. Though I hope it won't be all about juggling with the SF characters...(kinda fear that though)

Bringing cool characters from different games together has always worked out pretty, well more or less. How Lars was added into the Naruto UNS2 game was also great. Tekken character in Comic graphic :)
About a possible Release, which will it be, 2011 or 2012? I've seen both so far...
Kinda expect Capcom's game to be finished sooner, but they might push the release back for Namco, but who can say...

well, Harada can say :p ...
It's been firmly confirmed that Harada (tekken) will wait with the tekken x street fighter project and at the moment focus mainly on tekken tag 2 until Ono (street fighter)is done making and releasing street fighter x tekken, wich on its own will take a while.

Harada and Ono already made a crossover game [namco x capcom (only available in Japan)] and they sold a lot of copies, one of the best selling games for a week.

I've been up to date with this (eventhubs, shoryuken.com ,...) and Ono and Harada are planning to make these projects one of the best fighting games ever created. They're definitely going to continue on this project

So the games do have different release dates. Guess they figured that'd be more convenient.
I hope you're right about the "best ever" part ;)

Cause, boy, do they have some competition! ^^
MVC3 looks pretty action packed. The new KoF looks good, too...though I still miss Rock Howard's return in any SNK game.

I agree, even though snk playmore has let me down for the past few years. The latest kof games aren't that good at all...
For me, they've reached their peaks with Kof 98' and 2002

The company should really kick it up a notch, not only for kof, but also for garou (yay Rock ^^), samurai showdown and any other kof/neo geo game.

Sadly the director of the KOF series left in November, and the new guy "wants to shut down the video game division and focus on licensing instead", so the future of the KoF franchise is pretty much up in the air as of now.. And I agree MvC3 looks awesome, even the new Mortal Kombat has me excited! Which is a good thing since there wont be another version of Tekken that I can get my hands on for a long while now, not that I'm done with T6 by any means, just slowing down to about 3 times a week.
