Leg Sweep (WS d/b+3)??

This attack is a pretty versatile weapon for Yoshimitsu but the downside is that its very hard to execute unless you buffer into it. Another downside is if you execute it incorrectly you would do the D/B+3,3,3,3,3,3... move which can be punished.

I thought this topic would be good to discuss its properties and ways to execute it.

wait, what are u talking about?

if it's ws d/b+3, it's literally Fc d/b+3. What does the move u talked about look like?

It's basically d/b+3, a very fast and effective low kick. Usually it's buffered out of an attack or a movement because it's easier to do. In the command list it's written as WS d/b+3, and a few other characters, like Paul, share the same move.
Just do f+3+4~3+4 and then do d/b+3 for extra guaranteed damage; that's the move.

I think it was Souten who uses this move very effectively. Useful for stopping rushing opponents as well.

ahh, okay

Btw, what are the property differences between d/b:3 (or ws d/b+3) and d+3? Just wondering.

Well, d+3 is one frame faster but it doesn't catch sidestep that much as D/B:3. I think disadvantages on block are similar.

so what is the exact notation for that move and how many ways are there to buffer into it ?
I saw souten use that move so many times :D
Actually i kinda liked that move in tekken 3 itself.... there i used to do FC D/F+3,ws4,and d/b+3 and it used to come out ....
