SC4 Yoshi

hahahaha!! well, when i first played soul calibur 2(first SC game i played...) i just button mashed too since i dont know what to do! :D

well, the annoying thing in SC is that the more you block, you lose more of your "soul gauge" which makes you force not to block much, making you open...

well, i didnt like the ring out thing they made, cause some players will just push you until the end of the stage, then what happens? INSTANT LOSE!!! :D

thats why, as a hardcore SC fan, i always fight in stage where its hard to ring out or even impossible like a cage, and when you know how to play, you will punish the button masher so hard their mom is gonna feel it XD i use to play online all the time with pros until i decided to go on a trip around canada. plus there is awsome technique you will never achieve if you button mash, and there is move call perfect timing or something like that it means you press button for combo in perfect timing wich add stun or more damage.

It's called (just input)

wait, question, how do you actually do the just input? i mean, for example, nightmare's f+2,2(just) ... how do you actually do just, cause, i sometimes achieve doing a just move when i quickly press the next button... is that right? please correct if wrong...

THANK YOU!

It just has to be at the exact perfect time to achieve a just input, and it's different for every move.

ohhhh! thank you! very much appreciated...

Anything for my fellow Mitsu's

try this combo in SC4 with yoshi i don't know if it works but it should: (i'm really far away from any console :(

legend:
2: down
4: backward
6: forward
8: up
A: horizontal slash
B: vertical Slash
K: kick

2 + B & K, K, 8 + A & K , 2 + B & K(land your back facing the body) 2 + A & K, Or B & K for the suicide and keep on pressing it, it should look nice in practice i never try it in a matche

Okay I tried it out for you. When you launch and do Manji sit to suicide the suicide isn't really guaranteed. It's quite possible to just tech roll out of it or maybe even aerial recover away from your position. The standing suicide however can hit but it's a small window since you have to suicide right after the launch. It could be possible to aerial recover away if the launch is in a weird angle.

The whole thing is only two hits but it takes off half of the life bar. It's pretty flashy but I don't think it's that reliable. In any case anything can happen in a match so it's not totally impossible to land.

Here's a tutorial by NeoRussell. The same guy who made the new move videos for a lot of the Tekken characters when it came out in the arcades. Check out his Soul Calibur fights too, pretty awesome Yoshi player.

I'm not much of a SC player so I can't really say anything else lol.

Just a silly remark: I don´t play using my thumbs, I play with forefinger and middlefinger XD

This NeoRussel dude is a really good player, his other vids on utube rock too ^^
Can´t wait for PSP release so I can try out those moves as well.

Do you play with a Joystick??? Or controller? And if you use a controller, isn't using your two fingers more difficult than the thumbs? I switch back and forth, I only use my two fingers when I have to hit 1&3 or 2&4...

I only played PS controllers so far and it´s only Tekken that I play like this ^^"
It´s odd, I know, but I lack sensitivity in my thumbs for games with complex button sequences like Tekken :P

Hooray for odd ppl! :yes

ill try to find a vid with the combo in it its more then 2 hit, combo vid 1

i can play both using arcade sticks and a controller... although im better at the controller... hehe :D :D :D

and yeah, like what Matt said, i play like that, switchin and swtichin, but, if i need to tap buttons for real, gotta use 2 fingers... :D

I never play with my thumbs for some reason.. and I am really stubborn too. Even if people promise me that there is an easier way to do something I just wont listen. Sumsamurai once tried to teach me to use the shoulder buttons and my brain couldn't handle that. I KNOW what to press and which which fingers and I just can't be taught otherwise. Could this be why I suck?? maaaaaybeee... :blush
