soul calibur 3

Kogamitsu : Hmm... haven't heard a thing about it in Finland. I guess it'll be published here sooner or later. (Later, I figure...)

I have a freind in Finnland and he said that the U.S gets games before yall. Hum. I can try to fine the release date for it.

My SC3 Yoshi movie: http://rapidshare.de/files/6874905/Joszimiszczu_SC3_vol1.avi.html

Nice song ^^

Manji Niobe : Nice song ^^

And I got SC3 today.

I got my copy yesterday. Wheee! It's so cool!
I just love Yoshi's interactive ending scene :love In-game he looks great too! Far better than in SC2.
However, i think he has been toned down in several -unnessecary- ways. I don't wanna give too many details, but for one, my favorite key combo-move was removed (rising knee from crouch). Yoshi also seems to have lost his homing device: guaranteed moves such as Ninja Sunflare are now very easy to sidestep :(

But let's focuss on the positive ^_^ Yoshi has a great new taunt, kick-ass costumes, cool new moves for medium to long-range, a fantastic arena (mount fuji! Yay!) and a good story.

From what I heard, the knee is better now: d/f,d/f+K. Easier to buffer than WS knee.
Di is an expert of SC Yoshi, he discover more and more juicyness about him. Yoshi will be powerful, but also a character that requires much skill.

Di reported a very interesting justframe: suicide~A. Imagine that JF A recovers 120 of health O_O
And this is not all. I leave these JFs to Di to write down.

JF's
2B:A- The old Manji Fist is still in, but it's a little harder to do.
1A:A:A:A:A- the last hit gives GC, but it's still unsafe on block.
4A:A:A:A:A- The same.
FC 1K:K:K:K:K- This one is safe on block :yes
<SDGF>K:K- The harder version recovers 60 points and gives aGi against everything! o_O
Aris' movie: http://open.tekken.net/sc3/yoshi-01.mpg
Suicide JF is awesome! Another Aris' movie: http://open.tekken.net/sc3/yoshi-02.mpg

Tenshimitsu: From what I heard, the knee is better now: d/f,d/f+K. Easier to buffer than WS knee.
For me it's better to buffer something with 8WR than iWS :)

Tenshimitsu: Di is an expert of SC Yoshi
Przesadzasz :p Ty jesteś dużo większym ekspertem w T5 i za to wielki pokłon <hail>

Tenshimitsu: Yoshi will be powerful, but also a character that requires much skill.
100% true. No more easy wins. Train hard and get rewards.

Yoshi is great on SC 3. I unlocked him and I love his ending too. It made me laugh

What is his ending in SC3?
As for me, you're my SC guru, Di :) Please keep us updated with SC info (and especially the n00bish newbie head like myself :))

Di may can explain it better but here is how I told how it was like for my friend in Finnland.

Yoshi's ending is basically him in Japan and he is throwing coins out of a coin box he stole. Some Japanese guards are tying to catch him. He was in the city at first then he jumped onto the top of the wall and contiue his throwing out of coins. He then comes to a bridge, guards are to right and left of him. This is when you interact like Di was saying. You push the buttons that appear on the screen and he does his Vaccume Dance from Tekken ((( Not sure what is called on Soul Calibur)))) He disappears and all that is left is the coin box he was carring throughout the city. You see him near a wall and he sneaks away as the guards are left dumbfounded by how he disappeared.

It may not sound funny when one descibes it but is funny to me when I watched it. Sorry if you were asking Di and Di, if I left anything out feel free to correct me but please do not kill me.

Yes, that's what his ending is. I didn't press those buttons when I was beating Tales of Souls with Yoshi. I this the ending with pressing them?
At last You'll see it today, Tenshi :) To unlock Yoshi just beat this mode with Voldo or Kilik (You've known about Voldo, but I do not know if also about Kilik :) )

66A+K~B~~G is a quick turn into i<BT> (instant Back Turned)! It's fantastic!

Tenshimitsu: As for me, you're my SC guru, Di :)
Lol :P
And vice-versa of course (talking about Tekken) :)

Di : Yes, that's what his ending is. I didn't press those buttons when I was beating Tales of Souls with Yoshi.

I this the ending with pressing them?

Yes, that is his ending when you press them but I am sure he escapes the guards anyway rather you press the buttions or not but I could be wrong. Did he escape the guards when you did it? You do know he got crused on SC 3 right?

I haven't pressed them and he just teleported off that bridge.

Di : I haven't pressed them and he just teleported off that bridge.
Yoshi uses deathcopter, flies away laughing (ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-gaaah) and throwing gold all over the place.

If you fail to input the buttons in time, he'll drop the box on the ground and teleport away. Guards yell "He couldn't have gone far. Find him!". Yoshi is indeed only a few meters away, hiding behind a corner observing the guards. He then sneaks away silently. A silly music tune is played.

EDIT:
Di, to unlock Yoshi, you do not specificly need to use Voldo or Kilik at all :) Beat him with any character in Tales of Souls mode to unlock him.

EDIT 2:
IMO, d/f+K is far and far worse than the SC2 rising knee, though indeed it's handy in 8wr. :) It used to be your key move to connect combo's. Hell, with good timing I was able to eat away 90% lifebar with one combo. There was even the infamous infinite combo (7[d,b]+aaaa, k -7+a, k -7+a, k, etc).
And Yoshi's tripple roundhouse, your friend against quick nearby opponents and buddy in ring-out combo's is gone too.

But, there is no sense in complaining, is there :) I'll just have to learn to use this Yoshi ^_^

True :)

I can't agree. His new WS K is awesome thanks to speed (one of the fastest WS K in the game if not he fastest one) and advantage on hit. It's also easier for me to buffer 33_99K than iWS K.

Kirimitsu: There was even the infamous infinite combo (7[d,b]+aaaa, k -7+a, k -7+a, k, etc).
Could You be more specific? I don't know what are You talking about:blush

He's going to be great with his i<BT> and safe Seppuku, but not only8)
