Go to practice mode, Choose your main character and any character on the list (random works too)to fight against.

Before starting the battle set the Practice options to [VS CPU] and [damage display type 2 (numbers instead of the health bar)] Set the difficulty to Hard/Very Hard/Ultra Hard (whichever suits you best).

before resuming, make sure you're ready to start battling!

Then Duke it out until one of you arrives to 1000 damage received mark (or more...up to you).

Then exit and repeat. It's also a good idea to keep track of your wins/losses/total games and choosing different opponents.

Hope this helps...

Yeah practice, really really helps. Practice combos, moves, set-ups etc.

Would be even better if you have a friend to practice with. Or you can practice with handicaps. My friends normally play ultra hard with 50% health handicap. Or try survivor mode so you can get a feel of the pressure of trying to win.

Well said as I do the exact same thing. I like to see who makes it to 5000 Damage points first. If Im lagging behind the AI, then somethings got to improve.

But mentally, just clear your thoughts and REACT to your opponent. The best offense is a great defense. I think thats Yoshimitsu in a nutshell. Just be positive and know your character.
