JOYSTICK OR KEYPAD

Which of the the latter do you prefer? I am a keypad person. Can't stand joysticks, they're soo touchy. say something. Keypads.... <shivers from the horror of joysticks>

I guess my answer is joystick though I haven't used joysticks on game consoles ever since... I choose them because I'm used to playing in arcades... But I think that would change once I got my hands on my own gaming console...:D

I use KeyBoard(PC).. its quite better than both joystick and Keypad

Oh, how do you find a PC compatible Tekken? That'd be cool, I reckon. don't you, ihopethinamecounts?

Yeah, that would be really cool! Last time I played tekken in the PC invloves a PS emulator and a tekken 3 cd and a gba emulator and a tekken advance rom both of which are too much for my PC to handle...

As you may have noticed, I use emulators because my PC is quite vintage and doesn't meet even the minimum requirements of most modern games (even the gba games are choppy sometimes).

Say, is that a PC-compatible game or a PS2-compatible keyboard?:D

I think it must be just a PC compatible keyboard for the Playstation. Oh, but how much fun would it be for a tekken on PC! Internet gaming and all.

I learned something yesterday... it doesn't matter if you're using joysticks or keypads or keyboards, as long as it's functional! I was beaten while using yoshi yesterday because the joystick doesn't recognize the down direction sometimes...:( (although I admit the bigger factor is my lack of yoshi skills :p)

Anyway, I'm getting more inclined to keypads now, as I'm having a hard time sometimes getting the u/f or d/f directions (maybe due to the faulty joystick or maybe just mine). Also, I think playing t5 in a PS2 is cheaper rather than buying tokens everytime I'll play in the arcade...

*sigh* I need a LOT of training...

Well I can't afford spending heaps of money in arcades, and not to mention I still haven't found a spacey parlour the has tekken on the list so I can't be sure wheather jystick is better but im betting keypads are still better, cause I was wondering how you would press double foward on a joystick but then realised that you'd have to kinda tap it quickly to the side or something wich sounds like alot or strain on the wrist.

But I suppose that you'd have to develop you own techniques.

I think using keyboard is easy and i get perfect shots...as far as i know key pad or joystick lets you use Maximum of 6 fingers while on key board i have can move all fingers at once :D and more over there is very little strain while playing in keyboard..... but i can only play ps2 right now...

I am trying to get Ps2 emulator also...but it doesnt seem to work :(... any how key board rock :P

Keyboard? :) You refer to Tekken 3 game and PSX emulator?

I agree having 3 fingers do the movement (like in half-life/quake setups) instead of a single thumb on a keypad will fair better (given that both player has the same skills). However, it wouldn't surprise me if there are some who are better on keyboards and some on keypads, 'cause it's just a matter of preference.

About the strain in keyboards, I believe it still depends on the keyboard...:)

DONT MIND MY CAPITALS, THE CAPS LOCK WON'T COME OFF. ITS A MATTER OF ERGONOMICS IT THINK.

I always used keypad, easier to make the movements IMO. It really messes me up when I play on an arcade machine that way but I like keypad much more.

Try pressing SHIFT while the caps lock is on so you'll type small letters again...:p

It's fixed now, thanks ihopethisnamecounts (that is sush a long name), never thought of that.

They've reall got to fix that, so that we can rename our usernames.
