Weapon of Choice

Recently bought some stick parts so wanted to share some of my current sticks

HORI Real Arcade Pro Tekken 7 Edition

This is my main/practice stick, it's the HORI Real Arcade Pro Tekken 7 that released with the game. I replaced it with a Hori Hayabusa Silent Optical stick. It's not totally silent but it's a lot less muted compared to a clicky sound you hear from a regular stick. The buttons aren't silent yet and I'm waiting for them to be back in stock. The shaft is also replaced with a removable one with the Phreakmods The Link. I'm currently practicing with a bat top trying to get familiar with it. It's a little heavy but it feels solid with a good weight and size to play longs sets.

HORI Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai

This one is my travel stick, HRAP4 Kai. There are different version of this stick but I got the one with matte buttons. It's lighter than the T7 RAP so it's easier to carry and it also fits in my messenger back perfectly. I've been switching between the ball top and the bat top with this one but I usually stick to ball top when I'm playing serious matches.

Qanba Drone

I won this one in a raffle and I use it as a spare/guest stick when someone else wants to play. Currently stock and I'll probably keep it that way. It's small and light, usually used for casual games with non Tekken friends.

HORI Real Arcade Pro Soul Calibur V Edition

This one is my old main stick for PS3, it's the same model as my current T7 one. I wanted the Tekken one but it was sold out at the time and this was actually cheaper. I used this for years and I've gone to many tournaments with this. It's faulty right now but I'm thinking of eventually fixing it and turning this into my own fully customed stick.

I wonder if you noticed any better responsiveness in your newest Hori Tekken 7 stick? It's supposed to address the input lag that's apparently in HRAP silent version and other.

I own this HRAP v4 Kai but I'm not using it sadly... I decided to "stick with" Hori Fighting Commander Gamepad because I think I'm too old to learn stick already... (maybe somebody wants to buy it?) It has buttons replaced with sanwa and colored ball (lever is still Hayabusa)

My inputs don't feel any different as far as I can tell. I've tried doing the same combos with the Qanba Drone and it feels just about the same.

Another share, here's my Astros A40 TR Headphones:

This headset along the the mixamp is the best quality headphones I've ever had. They had these at every station at the NA Tekken Last Chance Qualifier in San Francisco and they were amazing. During this year's Evo, they had HyperX headsets and I much preferred the Astros. They're very expensive but I can't settle for less anymore.

How much is HORI Real Arcade Pro Tekken 7 Edition?

Bought the stick for $180. I replaced the stick with a Hori Hayabusa Silent Optical Joystick which was about $60 and replaced the shaft with a detachable mod that was about $30. I also changed the buttons with Sanwa silent pushbuttons that totaled about $20.

Great mod overall but it's now a practice stick I only ever use at home. I don't like to use it when I play serious because I can't hear myself, it's a weird feeling to describe.

And note, Hori released the Hori Real Arcade Pro N which is the base model for this stick. I prefer blank/plain design on sticks and I would haven easily bought this if it came out first.
