Hi

 :)

 :)

We really need a shoutbox again, don't we  anyways what's up guys, it's been while since we last were active so something must have happened through out the years right ^^

Yeeey activity! New Tekken 7 footage if y'all interested. They removed super long combos including bound  but added super attacks on Rage  No Yoshi yet but they're probably working on his new costume, since all the other characters and their artworks are recycled for now.

AngelBoy: Cool you're a 3D developer! What sort of things do you work on? I'm learning Unity3D to create a prototype for a game idea. I'm enjoying learning to program except when it doesn't work (which is always!) :P

Loving the new art attacks. It gives a screen freeze and they're not invincible at all and look pretty punishable.
This means you can't really throw it out as a clutch super reversal or anything. You can only make it look viable when doing it in a combo.

@BigChief: Thank you, so far just random stuff in autodesk 3d, but this year I've also started to work with Unity

# xXAngelBoyXx : they're not invincible at all.

They have armor when you're doing them, like SF4 Focus Attack, but they're basically an Ultra.

To me, it's more like some moves seems to be of higher priority and are by passing in coming attacks, like seen in soul calibur 5. Asukas rage art seems to be a strait out crush everything move, it even crushed Dragunovs ws 2, Dragunovs went through asukas reversal, Lars's had armor where he took damage from the incoming hit but still went through. by this alone it seems like rage arts could have indiviual properties like start up speed, armor levels, ect. depending on character just like in sc5 .

however it's pretty darn early but a lot of changes are bound to happen, but damn it's exciting to see a brand new tekken again ^^

Hey ya'll! Glad to see you guys around. This weekend got me all hype for Tekken 7. Yoshi isn't in the location tests which is sad but I'm still pretty sure he'll be in T7. I'm also hoping this gives them more time to give him a new look hehe. Anyways, here's some notes I compiled so far. Obviously this isn't final product yet but these seem to be solid indicators of the new game.

Power Crush
- Moves that will finish animation even when hit with another attack but will absorb the damage dealt by hit move
- Only absorbs highs and mids
- Move can be interrupted if damage absorbed would KO the user
- Works as an interrupt so Power Crush vs. Power Crush will have the 2nd one win

Rage Arts
- When health drops at a certain amount, character glows red and has access to a move called rage arts
- Cinematic version of Power Crush
- One time Use
- Can be used in combos
- Cannot be reversed
- Rage Art vs. Power Crush will have Rage Art finish it's animation
- Launch punishable (read it was -15)
? Does not deal any additional damage for normal moves

Kirimomi
- "Aerial Tailspin"
- Similar to bound, certain moves in juggles can send you a distance away but you flop on the ground allowing for a follow up
- Already existed in the form of Jin's EWHF on ch or Wang's uf+4

Other notes
- New characters are named Claudio and Katarina
- Location test has 18 playable characters, final build expected to be double that amount
- Bound in juggles are gone. Still existent in low parries, floor breaks and certain moves which pretty much just work as launchers
- Some stages have multiple tiers
- Characters have backwalk animation like in Tekken Revolution
- KO automatically goes into slow motion
- Still no release date announced

Nice write up of what's known so far! I'm super stoked for this game, I have really enjoyed all of the Rage Arts so far! I also think the Power Crush moves are going to be really fun and helpful for casual viewers, which can only benefit Tekken in the long run! Can't wait to see Yoshi's Rage Art!!

You are totally right about the power crush system and how it's more entertaining for casual viewers.  I didn't think of that until you mention it.

Tekken is so great when you got an understanding of what's going on, but for those aren't that knowledgable about it, it might seem very bland compared to it's fighting game rivals. So with that in mind is pretty smart to add those flashy moves, because even causals can understand flashy moves means armor and it's looks cool

 Tekken 7 looks promising! But...

technically:

1. New ways of getting from the ground - hope that Yoshi will still get some decent okizeme.
2. The new crush moves can completely kill his unblockables o_O

visually:

1. so... many.... sparks!
2. that camera "shakin'shakin" makes my eyes dance cha-cha.

other than that... looks good!

# Grey :  Power Crush

So it's like an armored regular move that can be done at any time. If it's like that it's pretty cool.

Tenshi: Yoshi hardly has any unblockables anymore. :( :P They apparently also removed tech rolls, so perhaps no more Samurai Cutter tech traps.

@BigChief, yea, I didn't watch enough footage at the time, but now I see how it works.

Hm, I'm guessing the moves with armor also lose to throws?
Well, at least we'll still have our sword sweep okizemi since it hits low.

Btw, the Kirimomi also has the exact same animation like Yoshi's CH KIN f2 on the opponent.

# xXAngelBoyXx : Hm, I'm guessing the moves with armor also lose to throws?

Rage Arts are immune to throws and reversals. But they can be interrupted by low attacks.

BigChief :

I'm aware they lose to lows, but why do you think they're immune to throws?
I also asked the throw question somewhere else and they were convinced that rage arts could be interrupted by throws as well.
